Links break when pages move, sites close or typos slip in.
Why it matters
Visitors lose trust, and crawlers waste time on dead ends.
Find them
Check each link on a page, or run a full audit that reports pages linking to errors.
Fix them
- Typo: correct the address.
- Moved page: link to the new address.
- Gone for good: remove the link or point to an alternative.
Your own pages
If one of your own addresses changed, add a 301 redirect so old links keep working.
